In order for the discussion forums to work well for all members, you are asked to follow these guidelines:
- Be Yourself and Have Fun. Take charge of your own English language learning. Ask for help when you need it. We are all here to learn and speak better English.
- Do Your Best. Use your best English when you participate in the discussion groups. Say things as simply and as clearly as you can. Relax, take a deep breath, and give if your best.
- Respect Others. This site has members from all over the world. It is important that we all value the different points of view and experiences that each member brings.
- Do not use any abusive or bad language to anyone! The first time you will be warned. The second time you will lose all membership privileges.
- Maintain Privacy. Do not reveal any private or personal information about yourself or another person in the discussion groups. It is OK to use your first name and where you live, but do not include any email addresses, home addresses or telephone numbers.
- Stay on Topic. Make sure that when you post a reply that you are responding to the correct message. It is best to use the reply button below the original message.
- Use Proper Courtesy. Post messages only once and do not enter messages in uppercase text as that is considered shouting.
- Do Not Post Commercial Messages. Do not use discussions to promote yourself, your company, or any products or services. It is one thing to mention of a book, it is another to sell it. Offending messages will be removed. Repeat offenders will lose access to the discussion groups.
