Study Words Introduction

Hello, this is Howard Coffman.

Today's topic: Study Words Introduction

Let's scroll down the page to the 1,000 Essential Study Words link on the Member Area home page.

These 1,000 words are the most frequently used words in the English language.

Just like the sounds and practice words, every study word features recorded audio and eezee speek® notation.

Words are organized by the number of letters in each word. This will help new learners find and practice words easily.

The learning method is very simple. Please remember to:

  • Look at the eezee speek®. Use it to help you speak better English.
  • Listen to the audio recordings on the web site
  • Practice each sound out-loud.
  • Record your practice sessions on a tape recorder.
  • Focus on the sounds that are difficult for you.
  • Start with short words.
  • Advance to longer words.
  • Remember to say each sound slowly, clearly, and completely.

Let's select Four Letter Study Words:

  • Notice that words are grouped alphabetically. There are approximately 50 words on each list.
  • .

Let's select Four Letter Study Words L to N.

Sometimes there are words with two very different pronunciations yet the spelling is the same. Here we have "lead" and "lead."

Click-on any link to see the word, its eezee speek® notation, and hear its recorded sound.

Thank you very much. Until next time, this is Howard Coffman.
